Volunteers Needed for FCI Informal Professional Mentorship Scheme

We are seeking volunteers to act as mentors in an informal professional mentorship scheme which is being established by the Faculty.

The scheme, which was recently approved by Council, will be available to all classes of member of the FCI. It is being set up in response to requests from current and potential members for advice and signposting about mentoring. The aim is to get it up and running by late November 2019.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please provide the following information about yourself:

  • professional qualification,
  • role,
  • relevant experience and qualifications,
  • mentoring style,
  • availability,
  • preferred contact details.

Please email the information above to joe.jubb@fci.org.uk.  Members will be appointed to the mentorship scheme by the Chair and Vice Chair of the Education and Standards Standing Committee.

The information you provide will be held securely within the FCI secretariat in line with DP principles and the only people who will have access will be the FCI secretariat and the Chair and Vice Chair of the Education and Standards Standing Committee.

Mentors will be supported by the Faculty and training can be provided if needed. The use and value to members of the scheme will be monitored by the Standing Committee and it will be further developed if it proves successful.
