Since being established, the Faculty has now grown to a membership of 542 Members, Fellows and Associates. Due to continued interest from potential members, the Faculty has decided to again open up for applications!

The Faculty of Clinical Informatics are seeking to appoint a clinical lead and a panel of assessors for CPD accreditation. We are seeking applications from any health or care discipline as many learning resources will be multi-disciplinary.

Faculty of Clinical Informatics Launches CPD Accreditation Scheme

One of the core aims of the Faculty is to ensure that there is appropriate education available in the arena of clinical informatics and to signal that any such training is being delivered to an appropriate standard. As part of this objective, the Faculty have launched a CPD Accreditation service.

On 29th October, the Faculty of Clinical Informatics helped to run the UK's first workshop on mobilising computable biomedical knowledge (MCBK), which was organised alongside the BCS, NICE, HL7 UK and The Learning Healthcare Project. Business Manager, Kevin Hunt, drew a sizable crowd during the lunchtime session at eHealth Week, when he delivered an update on recent progress and future plans for the Faculty. He was accompanied by Jonathan Kay (Vice Chair) and Nick Booth (Hon. Treasurer) in answering questions.
