Newcastle University’s Health Informatics Course is the first to be CPD Accredited by the FCI

Alongside Health Education England North East and North Cumbria, Newcastle University and the Institute of Coding have co-developed a brand new course offering an introduction to health informatics. This is the first course to be CPD accredited by the Faculty of Clinical Informatics.

The programme offers health informatics training for healthcare professionals taught be leading academics and experts, and introduces key concepts for using digital technologies. The course is designed to meet the needs of NHS staff (including clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, IT personnel, Clinical Coders and more), and no prior knowledge of the subject is needed.

The course offers flexible learning in half day sessions which can be booked individually, or as the whole course of 10, taking place from 3 December 2019 – 26 March 2020. It’s taught at a centrally accessible location on the Newcastle Helix site, a short walk from Newcastle Central Station and the city centre.

For more information and to book your place, visit the Newcastle University website.

This is the first course that the Faculty of Clinical Informatics has CPD accredited. The FCI accreditation process will launch formally in the New Year, so look out for further details!
