Following a successful pilot, where two courses were accredited, the Faculty has set up a CPD accreditation service, with the aim of assuring and improving the quality of CPD clinical informatics learning resources and of generating income for the Faculty through charges to providers of learning resources for the assurance process. Details of the service are provided here.
The Faculty of Clinical Informatics are seeking to appoint a clinical lead and a panel of assessors for CPD accreditation (click links for role descriptions). We are seeking applications from any health or care discipline as many learning resources will be multi-disciplinary. Roles will be remunerated, but as this is a new service, we cannot guarantee how much time will be required as this will be dependent on the demand for Faculty CPD accreditation. Training will be provided. We expect that the service will need to evolve as learning about it develops and so we hope that those supporting it will also be able to contribute to improving it. The whole scheme will be subject to a review at twelve months.
If you would like to apply for either the clinical lead or an assessor role, please email email@example.com by Wednesday 26th February with details of relevant experience and a statement of why you are interested in taking on the role. If you have any questions about either of the roles, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
