At the Faculty Annual Members Conference on 25th November, Alan Hassey (Chair of the FCI Education and Standards Committee) announced the launch of the informal professional mentoring scheme. The scheme is now in place and underway.
This scheme provides a framework for Faculty members looking for mentorship and advice to be matched and put in contact with a mentor, who will be another Faculty member with the relevant experience and expertise to help.
The Faculty has a list of mentors who have volunteered and been appointed by the Faculty’s Education and Standards Standing Committee. Becoming a mentor or mentee is open to all Faculty members from any health and social care discipline and any level of membership.
The mentorship scheme has now been established and we’ve already received requests from members!
If you would like to become a mentor please email email@example.com with the following information:
- Your professional qualification
- Your current role
- Any relevant experience and qualifications
- Your mentoring style: small group sessions/discussions
- Your availability
- Your preferred contact details
If you are seeking mentorship, please email us letting us know your request, the area of interest that you seek mentorship for, and your current role/position.
More details are available on the Faculty website under the ‘Resources’ tab. We look forward to hearing from you!
We are in particular need of more mentors from nursing, pharmacy, social care and the allied health professions, so please do get in contact if you are interested.
