Jan Hoogewerf appointed as Business Manager for the Faculty of Clinical Informatics

The Faculty of Clinical Informatics is pleased to announce the appointment of Jan Hoogewerf as its Business Manager. Jan succeeds Kevin Hunt, who oversaw the establishment of the Faculty as an independent body with an elected Council and over 350 members.

The Faculty of Clinical Informatics has embarked on a landmark Core Competency Project, which is a vital first step towards professionalising clinical informatics in the UK by defining key attributes for accreditation.

Faculty of Clinical Informatics’ Reaction to the Topol Review

The Faculty of Clinical Informatics welcomes the publication of the Topol Review, having been asked to input expertise around clinical informatics as part of one of the invited panel sessions. We are delighted to be mentioned as part of the recommended action plan for implementing improvements in educating and accrediting the multi-professional NHS workforce and we look forward to being part of the collaborative effort to educate and empower clinical informaticians working in health and care.
