Since being established, the Faculty has grown to a membership of around 540 Members, Fellows and Associates. Due to continued interest from potential members, the Faculty has decided to again open up for applications!
The Faculty of Clinical Informatics was established as the only UK professional membership body for all clinical informaticians within health and social care. Joining the Faculty offers access to a supportive professional network, helps build knowledge and skills, and allows shared learning with peers to help advance clinical informatics for the benefit of patients and the public.
Please note that unlike previous cohorts, all applications for Membership and Fellowship will use the same form. The submission deadline only applies to applicants for Membership and Fellowship; applications for Associate will now be open at all times, using the Associate application form.
Full details can be found on our ‘How to apply‘ page and for information on the different membership criteria, visit our ‘Membership Categories‘ page. For help with completing your application, and to view exemplar answers, read our guidance notes for applying.
Membership fees start at £50 for Associates, increasing to £100 for Members and £250 for Fellows. Discounted fees are applicable: see the Subscription Payments page for further details.
Please note that as the FCI is a registered charity, members can receive income tax relief on their subscription fees. Please contact email@example.com if you’d like to discuss.
Once all applications are received, they will be reviewed by an expert panel of Faculty Fellows, all of whom are distinguished professionals with an established reputation in informatics in the UK. The Faculty Council will approve the final list before announcements are made on 20th April 2020.
The Faculty is delighted to increase our membership further and look forward to expanding the network of talented informaticians across the UK. From all at the Faculty, best of luck with your applications!
If you have any questions regarding becoming a member of the FCI, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
About the Faculty
